FAQ: FAQ

What if my dog takes a while to settle?

Prior to joining us, we'll always arrange to meet you, and your dog, on a walk. This allows everyone to feel comfortable, ask any questions, and most importantly to engage with your dog when they are most relaxed.

For weekend stays we'll always book an overnight trial first, to assess risk and to prepare for future stays.

We believe in a consultative and adaptive process and we will always do our best for your dog.

Will my dog get a walk on daycare or weekend stays?

A 1 hour walk is included in daycare, and per day, in weekend/bank holiday stays. We will always also include enrichment activities as discussed and agreed with you.

What notice to cancel do I need to give?

All services can be cancelled with a refund up to 24 hours beforehand. Days 4 Dogs reserves the right however to change this should it become clear that boarding services are being block booked and cancelled at short notice on a regular basis. We aim to make our dog care available to all clients on a fair basis.

Am I tied in to a contract?

There is no tie in but we do ask you to read and sign our terms and conditions which focus on the welfare of your dog and all safety aspects.

How do I book/register with you?

Please initially use the contact us page or email rachel@days4dogs.co.uk

The stages of client registration are as follows:

  • Contact us at Days 4 Dogs Ltd

  • We arrange to meet on walk or at your house depending on needs

  • We send you our terms and conditions and a client registration form to complete, sign and return

  • An overnight trial is arranged (if applicable)

  • Services are agreed and booked (weekend stays and ad hoc requests are payable upfront)

What happens if there is an emergency?

Please refer to our comprehensive safety policy. We are DBS checked, registered with Hart Council, First Aid trained and vet registered. For boarding we have a detailed emergency plan and comply with the latest DEFRA guidance. We are experienced and trained in canine welfare. We hold up to date contact details for you and your vet and would immediately be in touch in any circumstance.
